D+i worked with SC TEACHER stakeholders to develop a new identity and messaging approach that leveraged the research and results-driven nature of the organization. The identity features a bar graph that grows into an iconic representation of the palmetto tree, reinforcing the South Carolina-centric nature of their research, and the positive impact that results from their efforts. The messaging is deliberate and functional to convey a sense of trust and pragmatism.
A trusted resource
With the success of the organization’s initial efforts came the opportunity to grow a more focused design and messaging platform, positioning SC TEACHER as the state’s reputable and trusted resource for education-based research. D+i was engaged to overhaul the existing brand and better reflect the organization’s capabilities of informing policy and practice.
Built to support
Working with local photographers, we also evolved the brand’s photography to include the vast variety of communities (and school districts) across the state from large to small, coastal to mountains, and everything in between.
Ultimately we landed on a brand that feels both intelligent and helpful while conveying a sense of reputable confidence. As the organization continues to release comprehensive monthly reports, we’ve developed a flexible publication platform that can quickly expand to accommodate.
