Writing the next chapter
With over two decades of experience in collective teacher leadership, Mira Education has continued to reimagine how teaching, learning and leadership can truly impact student learning and school-wide success. Looking to expand their recognition as a leader in systems change, the team at Mira engaged D+i for a full systems overhaul, renaming, rebranding and redefining the next chapter of their storied organization.
A new name, look and feel
Mira Education’s rebrand started with a new name to reflect a meaningful and innovative shift within the organization. Renaming an existing organization always presents a unique challenge due to the existing equity in a name with decades of recognition. Through the naming process, we arrived at the word Mira, Spanish for “look”. The name takes inspiration from the concept of looking or uncovering a new or different perspective.
With a fresh new name in place, D+i sought to leverage the concept of connection between people and practice with a visual identity that builds on the idea of connectivity while also easily evolving from the circular shapes and nuances of the previous brand identity. The result is a bold and flexible identity system that represents the intuitive state of the organization as it grows into the future.
Tools built-to-suit
In support of the rebrand, we worked closely with the team at Mira Education to build an adaptable suite of marketing tools including a complete website overhaul, social media assets, presentation templates, business cards and comprehensive brand guidelines to inform consistency with any work produced in the future.
