SE2 is a Colorado-based, integrated communications agency that has moved the meter on issues that matter since 1997.
SE2 partnered with D+i to revaluate the existing brand, marketing/sales materials and website. Together, we refreshed the company brand, designed a new brand expression and redesigned and developed a website focused on grouping content based on industry vertical and agency expertise.
Our team began our engagement with SE2 with a collaborative discovery to fully understand the agency’s positioning, target audiences and competitive set. Together we evaluated the existing identity, tagline (Public Persuasion) and website design. Our teams determined that the SE2 brand had solid equity in the Denver market, however, the design lacked differentiation and impact to properly express SE2’s positioning – Moving the meter on issues that matter.
While retaining the core SE2 word mark, new expression elements were designed to emphasize the agency’s focus on changing public policy, opinion and behavior. Simple linear illustrations and a sophisticated typographic set elevated the overall brand while utilizing bold color treatments to retain the energetic nature of their team and client work. We provided the SE2 team with a straight-forward set of brand guidelines which outline proper use of these new elements along with direction for photography and iconography.
For the website redesign, we first planned the new site content architecture. We focused our efforts on providing a unique experience for visitors to access a knowledge base categorized by industry. This format allows SE2 to combine content types which include blog, social media posts, case studies and articles that a visitor will find relevant and valuable. This departure from standard agency content (splitting these types into their own sections) emphasizes SE2’s experience and savvy in all aspects of each target industry.
The site is built on WordPress, allowing SE2 team members to easily update site content. It also allows for page layout flexibility to integrate lead generation calls to action throughout the site. The design extends the refreshed brand expression and solidifies SE2 as a leader in their field.
