Denver Urban Renewal Authority

Brand Strategy |  Expression Platform |  Website |  Business Papers |  Marketing Materials

The Denver Urban Renewal Authority (DURA) was created by the City and County of Denver in 1958 to assist in the redevelopment of blighted property and foster the sound growth and development of Denver. Given inherent public perceptions of blight, DURA had generally refrained from active outward communication of their efforts.

In combination with CIG, a local communication strategy firm, our team explored a fresh approach to the public Expression of the DURA brand. We redesigned their core identity, communication materials and website to appeal to reflect the positive impact DURA creates in the Denver community.

Rather than avoid public awareness, the new visual and verbal strategy focused on cultivating it for the benefit of the agency and community as a whole. With a “bank” of positive awareness, clear communication and appropriate visual Expression, DURA is better positioned to proactively address their role in improving the city.
